Covering 14 acres at 113 Oxford Road, the local name for Route 67, Oxford Paint & Hardware provides a one-stop shopping outlet where contractors and homeowners alike can find what they need for jobs of all sizes. From a pound of nails to a whole house, you can get it here. Michael Kwoka and Paul Quoka opened Oxford Paint & Hardware in 1956. In addition to paint and hardware, the store carried lawn, garden, electrical and wallpaper supplies to meet the needs of builders, landscapers and do-it-yourselfers around the region. Paul Quoka's sons, Al, John, and Michael took over the store and expanded it in 1982 by adding a large lumber and building center. In addition, the brothers employ a knowledgable staff of 30 people, and there are 17 trucks to handle deliveries all across the state. In 2006 we were proud to open a new showroom, featuring the latest in doors, windows, and kitchen cabinets. At Zois' Pizza (pronounced "zoyce"), a Seymour staple for over 39 years, one fact has never changed: The pie's the thing. Aside from freshly made salads, appetizers, and a selection of grinders and calzones, Greek-style pizza has remained the family restaurant's main stock in trade since it opened in 1970. "We try to keep things simple so we can keep prices low for our customers," said James Tzepos, owner. That simplicity also allows the restaurant to ensure that its ingredients are always fresh. Along with the food menu, an extensive beer and wine menu is also available. "We keep the prices of our wine as low as possible so our customers can enjoy their dining experience without having to empty their wallets," the owner adds.
