Little League Sign Up in Seymour
Seymour - The George J. Hummel Little League will be registering boys and girls for its baseball and softball programs. Registration will be held on Saturday, January 14 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, Friday, January 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and Friday, January 27 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Seymour Community Center meeting room.
There will be four divisions of play for baseball encompassing players ages 5 - 12. There will be five levels of play for girls softball encompassing players ages 5 - 14. The registration fee for tee ball is $60. The fee for all other programs is $95. The first and second child in a family pay full price and any additional children will get a 50% discount. Financial arrangements can be made for families with more than one child participating in the league. .
For all baseball programs, a player’s little league age is their age as of April 30, 2012. For all softball programs, the age determination date is December 31, 2011. A parent or guardian must be present at the registration session. First year players must bring an original birth certificate or a copy with a raised seal. All players must bring 3 proofs of residence dated or in force between February 1, 2011 and February 1, 2012. The most common proofs of residence are drivers license, vehicle registration, and insurance cards. All players must be registered by February 1 to avoid late fees.
